Exhibition & Display Design in Mansfield
At a trade show you have about three seconds and three metres. Almost every stand is designed as though people will stop and read.
Exhibition graphics fail in a predictable way: too much text, set too low, saying what the company is called rather than what it does.
Somebody walking past a stand is scanning for relevance. The only question they are answering is "is this for me?" — and it has to be answered from three metres away, at a glance, while they are walking.
So the top third of any banner does the work, and everything below waist height is essentially decoration.

What you get
The top third does the work
What you do, in large type, above head height of the crowd in front of the stand. Everything low down will be obscured by people.
One message per piece
Three banners each saying one thing beats one banner saying three things.
Designed to the exact hardware
Every pull-up and stand system has its own visible area, and the bottom portion is frequently hidden by the mechanism. We design to the actual template.
Coordinated across the set
Banners, backdrop, table cover, literature and name badges reading as one stand rather than five separate purchases.
Supporting print sized to be carried
Nobody wants an A4 folder at hour three of a trade show. A card that fits a pocket gets kept.
Print management, optional
We arrange production and delivery to the venue, or supply files for you to print.
What actually gets people to stop
- A clear statement of what you do, readable at three metres
- One specific offer or reason to talk to you, rather than "come and say hello"
- Something to look at or hold — a product, a sample, a demonstration
- Staff standing at the front, not sitting behind a table looking at phones
- A genuine reason to leave contact details, rather than a fishbowl of business cards
Do the sums before you book
A stand, graphics, print and two days of staff time is a real cost. Work out beforehand how many enquiries would make it worthwhile and whether that number is plausible for the event.
For a lot of local businesses, a smaller regional event with the right audience returns far better than a large one with impressive footfall and the wrong people in it. We will say so if we think the event is wrong.
What affects the price
From £75 is a genuine starting point, not a teaser. Here is what moves it, so you can work out roughly where you would land before you ring us.
- How many pieces — banner, backdrop, table cover, literature
- Stand size and whether it is a shell scheme or space only
- Whether print production is managed by us
- Whether supporting print and giveaways are included
Why local matters here
Exhibition & Display Design — the Mansfield picture
Regional business shows and trade events across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire are usually better value for local firms than national ones — cheaper stands, and everyone in the room is within commuting distance of you.
Being local also means we can deliver and help set up rather than shipping graphics and hoping.

Exhibition & Display Design — your questions
How much does exhibition design cost?
From £75 for a single pull-up banner design, £250 to £495 for a coordinated set of banners, backdrop and literature. Print and hardware are additional.
What size should the text be?
Your main message should be readable at three metres, which usually means larger than feels comfortable on screen. Print it at scale and stand back before approving.
Do you supply the stands themselves?
We can arrange hardware and print through suppliers we use, or design to whatever system you already own.
