Drone Photography in Mansfield
For roofers, builders, estate agents and anyone with a site to show, a view from forty metres up says more than a paragraph ever will.
Drone work is genuinely useful for a specific set of businesses and pointless for the rest. Useful if you have a roof, a site, a plot of land, a large building or a job whose scale is not visible from the ground.
For roofers in particular it is close to a superpower: showing a customer the actual state of their roof, and showing prospective customers finished work from an angle nobody else has.
We fly legally — the operator qualifications and insurance that the CAA requires, and the checks on airspace and permissions that go with each flight.
What you get
Legal, insured flights
CAA operator registration, appropriate flyer competency, and public liability cover. Plenty of cheap drone work is flown without these, which becomes your problem if something goes wrong.
Airspace and permission checks
Every flight checked against restrictions and, where needed, landowner permission arranged in advance rather than on the day.
Stills and video from one visit
High-resolution photographs plus stabilised video, so one flight gives you material for the website, social and any survey use.
Roof and site inspection imagery
Detailed close work showing condition, suitable for showing a customer or supporting a quote.
Edited and delivered for web
Correctly sized and compressed, so the images do not sink your page speed.
Who this genuinely helps
- Roofers — inspection imagery for quotes, and finished work nobody else can show
- Builders and developers — progress records and finished sites from above
- Estate and land agents — property in context, which sells larger properties
- Solar installers — roof orientation and shading assessed before quoting
- Farms, holiday parks and venues — showing the scale of a site
- Anyone with a large or complex premises that photographs badly from the ground
The rules, briefly
Flying commercially in the UK requires operator registration with the CAA, a flyer ID, and — depending on the drone and the location — additional competency. There are restrictions near airports, over crowds, and near some buildings, and you need permission from whoever controls the land you take off from.
None of this is your problem when we do it, but it is worth knowing so you can ask anyone else the same question.
What affects the price
From £150 is a genuine starting point, not a teaser. Here is what moves it, so you can work out roughly where you would land before you ring us.
- Site size and how many separate locations
- Whether stills, video or both
- Whether the location needs additional permissions
- Turnaround time, if you need it same day
Why local matters here
Drone Photography — the Mansfield picture
Mansfield sits in reasonably straightforward airspace for most work, though there are restrictions to check depending on exactly where you are and East Midlands Airport affects some flights to the south.
We check each location before the day rather than turning up and discovering a problem, which is a more common experience than it should be.

Drone Photography — your questions
How much does drone photography cost?
From £150 for a single site visit with stills, £250 including edited video. Multiple sites in one trip are cheaper per site.
Do you have insurance?
Yes — public liability cover appropriate to commercial drone operation, plus CAA operator registration. We can supply the certificates.
Can you fly anywhere?
Nearly. There are restrictions near airports, over gatherings, and in some controlled airspace, and we need permission from the landowner where we take off. We check before booking rather than on the day.
Can you do roof inspections?
Yes, and it is one of the most useful applications — detailed imagery of a roof without scaffolding, which is quicker, cheaper and safer than the alternative.
