Marketing Reporting & Dashboards

Most marketing reports are forty pages of charts that carefully avoid the only question anyone has: did it work, and was it worth it?

When your marketing spans a website, Google Ads, Meta, email and a Google Business Profile, the numbers live in five places and none of them add up to an answer.

A dashboard pulls them into one view that answers three questions: how many enquiries, from where, and what did each cost. Everything else is optional.

We build it in Looker Studio, which is free, refreshes automatically, and can be shared with a link rather than emailed as a PDF nobody opens.

What you get

Every channel in one place

GA4, Google Ads, Search Console, Meta, your Business Profile and email platform, on one page.

Cost per enquiry, calculated

Spend divided by results, per channel, so the comparison is like for like rather than each platform grading its own homework.

A trend view, not a snapshot

This month against last, and against the same month last year. Seasonality makes month-on-month alone misleading for most local businesses.

Automatic refresh

Live data, always current. No monthly export, no PDF, no waiting for somebody to compile it.

Written in plain English

"Enquiries" rather than "goal completions". "Cost per enquiry" rather than "CPA". Labelled for the person reading it.

Shared however suits you

A link, an emailed schedule, or a screen in the office. Whatever means it actually gets looked at.

What belongs on it

Six numbers is usually the right amount. More and nobody reads it:

  • Enquiries this month, versus last month and last year
  • Where they came from — organic, paid, direct, social, Business Profile
  • Total marketing spend, and cost per enquiry
  • Top five pages by enquiries generated
  • Search visibility trend from Search Console
  • Google Business Profile actions — calls, direction requests, website clicks

What to leave off

Bounce rate, time on page, sessions by browser, and most of what analytics tools put on their default screens. They are diagnostic tools for someone doing the work, not decision-making information for the person paying for it.

If a number would not change what you do next month, it does not belong on the dashboard.

What affects the price

From £145 is a genuine starting point, not a teaser. Here is what moves it, so you can work out roughly where you would land before you ring us.

  • How many data sources need connecting
  • Whether cost and revenue data is included
  • How many views or user permissions are needed
  • Whether it is a one-off build or maintained monthly

Why local matters here

Marketing Reporting & Dashboards — the Mansfield picture

For a local business the most valuable line on the dashboard is usually the Google Business Profile one, because for many trades it produces more calls than the website does — and it is the number almost nobody is watching.

Seeing calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile alongside everything else frequently changes where the next month’s budget goes.

Marketing Reporting & Dashboards — your questions

What does the dashboard cost to run?

Nothing ongoing if we build it in Looker Studio, which is free. You pay once for the build. If you want us maintaining and interpreting it monthly, that is part of a retainer.

Can it include offline sales?

Yes, if the data exists somewhere we can read — a CRM, a spreadsheet, an accounts package. Connecting revenue to marketing source is where a dashboard becomes genuinely valuable rather than merely tidy.

Do I need one if you handle my marketing?

You do not need one, but you should have one. It means you can check what is happening without asking us, which is a healthier arrangement for both sides.

Fancy a straight answer about your website?

Tell us what you are trying to do and we will tell you what it takes, what it costs, and whether it is even worth doing. No pitch deck, no pressure.
